The whole contingent had breakfast together, some welcomes, lots of singing and a great feeling of 'togetherness'. It's rather good having everyone together, there are plans to put up NZ flags in our little hotel lobby near the lifts.

The hotel staff have been very helpful and the complex is wonderful, so close to the venue and the restaurants.

The coffee is great at the café which is conveniently located at hotel access on the pedestrian crossing to get to the beach and boulle players (see below).

The paddling conditions are at times a bit crazy, wind chop, rain, gusts but it's the same for everyone. The NZ contingent management are in full controlled flow and it’s a well oiled machine.

The excitement is building. Hoping for improvements to the weather which should add to the event enjoyment.
