Waka Ama NZ is pleased to welcome Trevor as our new Waka Ama NZ Aukaha Project Manager.
Trevor has an extensive professional background and experience in the sport sector working in sport development, marketing and facility management roles with RSOs, NSOs and high-profile sport facilities. Trevor’s recent experience in the Secondary School sector is complemented by his extensive experience in the tertiary sector. Trevor has a background in research including a large personal research portfolio in sport management and governance. Trevor is a highly organised, motivated and resilient professional sport manager with a comprehensive and diverse skill set. Trevor’s main passions outside of work are surfing, stand up paddleboarding, exercising and spending time with his friends and whānau.
The Aukaha Project that Trevor will be leading for Waka Ama NZ will aim to strengthen our organisation, our regions and clubs by building capability, capacity, collaboration, and structure. This project will also include promotion and advocacy, stakeholder relationships and new partnerships and improving and providing access to systems and tools that will benefit our wider Waka Ama whānau.
