He Aituā: Andrew Priest
A tribute to Andrew Priest, past chairperson and member who sadly passed last week.
The Parihaka Waka Ama Inc wish to express our deepest sadness at the recent passing of Andrew Priest, a former Chair of the club and valued past club member. Together with his wife Kellie we benefited hugely from their input and guidance with adaptive paddlers and the adaptive community.
His leadership ensured we remained on task and broadened our involvement with our local whānau. Andrew competed nationally and internationally with the NZ Adaptive Team.
He was an industrious person who could put his hands to most things; "Tū whitia te hopo, e hara i te tī" .... fearless and prepared to tackle the unknown head on ......
