Hope everyone has put in some kms since sprint nationals and are ready for some long distance racing for the rest of summer. We've had some great conditions here in the Bay and its looking great this weekend. Easterly winds and 2m swell is in the forcast which is good for a race start from Maketu.

Get your whanau and teams ready for another exciting Maungatapu Dash on the 17th of Feb. This year the lunchtime novice and juniors 5km race also includes a new whanau category. Yes you have to be related or living with the person or dating them (not as of that day either!) to be in the crew. Kids are encouraged to paddle with their parents etc. Full adult whanau crews will be handicapped in time to ensure we look after our kids out there. So get your teams ready to go and we'll see you in a few weeks.
