We have recieved a number of queries regarding WT12 combined crews and inparticular how to enter them. There has been a change in the rules this year which allows clubs to form combined teams across all divisions if they do not have enough paddlers to form a team within their own club first.

The weather forecast for the day was gale force wind, however as most paddlers at Lake Ngatu on Saturday 10 Dec would tell you, “it was a little gusty and its great practice for the afternoon races at Lake Karapiro in January,”

The New Zealand Post Waka Ama Sprint Nationals are fast approaching (17th to 21st January 2012) and we really appreciate the time that individuals dedicate to Volunteer at the event. Every year the event requires around 100 volunteers to make it happen.

A huge thanks to all those that attended the Mitamitaga regatta on Saturday. To those teams that travelled from North and from Auckland, we truly appreciated you all being there to share a great day. The racing was awesome and a huge buzz for us this year was that so many tamariki/rangatahi participated, our biggest youth numbers for a mighty long time, yehaaa, bring it on!
