An awesome turnout of paddlers from all over the country. Numbers were certainly up from past years, with over 400 registered paddlers taking up the challenge of the Mokoia race.

To date nearly 600 outrigger paddlers have registered for the November festival with numbers being confined only because of limited numbers of vaka and support boats.

Due to a conflict of dates, the Little Nippers race that was on 6 October is now on 7 October and the Omokoroa Dash will be run at an alternative date.
