2026 World Sprint Champs

This is the information hub for the Aotearoa Waka Ama Team competing at the 2026 World Sprint Champs to be held in Singapore, 17 - 31 August 2026.

National Coaches

We are pleased to announce the Aotearoa team national coaches for the 2026 World Sprint Champs.

These coaches were appointed in 2024 on a two-year sprint campaign and look to build on from the previous World Sprint Champs.

We welcome them back again for another worlds campaign and wish them the best.

Club Age Division Teams Intents

The intents are now open for club teams wanting to qualify for World Sprint Club Championships in Singapore. Intents must be made through the WAANZ Members Area by club admins.

The qualifying plan and process are in the attachments for further information. Intents close Friday 21 November 2025.
